Wifi network requirements

First, we need to ensure that the wifi network and the printer setup meet the connectivity requirement.

  • Firstly try to restart your printer and the device you are logging in to. This will cancel out any initial error.

  • A USB cable can block your Wifi connection to the printer. So as long as your USB is connected, Your HP printer will not connect to the Wifi network.

  • Check the frequency band of your Wifi. Most of the Wifi operates at both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz frequencies, while not all HP printers work on both bands. Connect your HP Printer to the 2.4Ghz SSID band. Additionally, if the HP printer supports 5.0Ghz then connect it to the G.0 GHz SSID.  

  • Check the list of available networks on your device. As long as you are connected to your normal Wifi network it’s good to go. Although disconnected from any other network if connected.

Bring Router Closer

Maybe the problem is a weak network. Try to bring your HP printer close to the router. Weak wifi signals can be the reason for your HP Printer not connecting with the Wifi network.

Update all the drivers
